Udall, Smith, Murkowski Introduce Major Bipartisan Legislation to Address Violence Against Native Women, Children and Tribal Law Enforcement

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Tom Udall (D-N.M.), vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, Tina Smith (D-Minn.), and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) have introduced two major, bipartisan bills to address violence against Native women, children, and Tribal law enforcement: the Native Youth and Tribal Officer Protection Act (NYTOPA) and the Justice for Native Survivors of Sexual Violence Act (Justice for Native Survivors).
