Thursday morning the Rio Arriba County Commission met in Tierra Amarilla to address the ongoing budget crisis that the county is facing. Top on the Aug. 31 agenda was the consideration of a small increase to what the country charges in gross receipts taxes (GRT), commonly known as sales taxes. In a split decision, the County Commission approved a 3/8 of one percent.
