Westminster, Colo. – Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association has issued its sixth request for proposals (RFP) for renewable energy resources. Tri-State is the not-for-profit cooperative power supplier to 43 member electric cooperatives and public power districts that serve rural communities in four states.

The Legislature has moved to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s desk a controversial bill designed to dramatically increase the amount of renewable energy used to produce electricity in New Mexico while also helping the Public Service Company of New Mexico recoup its investments in the coal-burning San Juan Generating Station near Farmington.

SANTA FE, NM – For Fiscal Year 2020, Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard has requested additional budget appropriations for four new district resource managers tasked with overseeing oil and gas activity in the Permian Basin and resources to establish the Office of Renewable Energy.
