Secretary Of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver Supports The Collaborative Effort Between New Mexico’s County Clerks And Her Office To Conduct An All-Mail 2020 Primary Election
“I want to make sure New Mexicans know that the entire reason for asking the state Supreme Court to allow the state’s election administrators to conduct an all-mail 2020 Primary Election is to protect the health and safety of every voter wishing to participate,” said Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver.
“I’m a fighter. I’ve fought to protect New Mexico’s elections system from foreign interference; I’ve taken on corruption in state government; and I’ve twice stood up to President Trump when he demanded New Mexicans’ personal voter information. I’m not afraid of a tough fight.
Per the legislation, this year New Mexicans can only register and vote on the same day up to November 2, 2019. On Election Day, November 5, 2019, New Mexicans must already be registered to vote; they will not be able to register to vote and also vote that same day this year.

Representatives Patricia Roybal-Caballero, Day Hochman-Vigil, Debbie Sariñana, Natalie Figueroa, Joy Garratt, Joanne Ferrary, Angelica Rubio, and Christine Trujillo have all personally endorsed present Secretary of State Toulouse Oliver in her candidacy to become New Mexico’s first female Senator.
