It’s not too late for New Mexico farmers and ranchers to apply for financial relief as a result of impacts from the coronavirus pandemic. The deadline to apply for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is Friday, Aug. 28.
State Land Office And Partners Offering Drought Resource Webinar Series For Agricultural And Grazing Lessees
The New Mexico State Land Office (SLO), in partnership with the Quivira Coalition (QC), the Coalition to Enhance Working Lands (CEWL), and the Western Landowners Alliance (WLA), will offer a three-part webinar series for grazing lessees and agricultural producers with information and resources related to drought management.
As part of the emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Agriculture has assisted with identifying sources and securing food in a timely manner, whether it has been for food banks or for New Mexico’s Nations, Tribes and Pueblos.
