Today, the House is set to pass H.R. 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act – major legislation to lower health care costs for New Mexico families and make significant investments in Medicare. Congressman Luján is a sponsor of the bill.
This week, Congressman Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), the U.S House Assistant Speaker, and Congressman Adam Smith (D-WA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, toured Los Alamos National Laboratory on a congressional delegation highlighting the importance of New Mexico’s national labs.
Congressman Ben Ray Luján’s staff will hold mobile office hours in the Third District on Thursday, Jan. 28 and Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. Mobile office hours provide constituents who may not have the means or time to travel to one of Luján’s six district offices greater access to the services offered. Staff will be on hand to assist residents who have questions regarding Social Security benefits, immigration applications, veterans’ services, and other federal programs.
