Pets Of The Week

ESPAÑOLA — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption at the Española Valley Humane Society. Take a look at this week’s highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Mona is a 12-week-old ball of energy and fun. She came in as a stray left in our overnight drop box. She will make a great active family member. Mona will be a great at camping, hiking and running partner. She is willing to learn and is young enough to learn her family's ways. She is at a great age for puppy classes. Stop by and meet Mona she will surprise you how adorable she is.

Bubba is a 10-month-old heeler mix who is as sweet as can be. Bubba was found by animal control on the side of the road dragging his rear legs. He snapped at animal control and at us because of the pain he was in. But after a few days on meds and getting to know us he became as sweet as honey. After his FHO surgery he likes hanging out at the front desk and will not move in all day, until someone takes him out for a potty break. So he will not be the best ranch hand. He is more like the couch potato type of buddy. Stop by the shelter and meet Bubba and ask us about his recovery plan.
