Robert D. Sandoval of Ranchitos

Robert D. Sandoval, 60, a resident of Ranchitos passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Damian and Frances Sandoval; parents in-law, Ernesto and Virginia Jaramillo; grandparents, Israel and Cordilia Sandoval, and Magdalena Dominguez; uncles, Onivas and Ruben Sandoval, Paul and Roy Dominguez; brother-in-law, Clifford Jaramillo; nephews, Alfred and James Jaramillo and niece, Raychael Osborne.

Robert was an amazing, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a heart of gold. His family meant the world to him and he always made sure they were all well taken care of. He had a personality like no other, always friendly, smiling, laughing and joking around.  He was well known for his great sense of humor. Robert was loved and respected by all, a beautiful soul whom everyone will miss greatly. His smile and laughter will forever dwell within the hearts of the lives he touched, and his radiance will now adorn the walls of his heavenly home.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Jaramillo; children, Robert Jr. and wife Isabel, Sherrie, and Adrian Sandoval; nephews raised as sons, Manuel and Michael Sandoval and Isaac Saco Padilla; two sisters; special uncle whom was like a father, Zebedeo and wife Bertha Sandoval; close cousin whom was like a mother, Cidelia Lopez, special madrina, Rosina Trujillo; in-laws, Jose and wife Lupita, Thomas and wife Dolores,  Freddie and wife Rose Jaramillo, Louisa and husband Daniel Pacheco, Carlota and husband Harry Martinez,  Debra and husband Anthony Wheeler,  Nieves and husband Norris Velasquez,  Patricia and late husband Clifford Jaramillo; aunts, Olivama and Elaine Sandoval, Benina Martinez; uncles, Danny and wife Yvonne Sandoval-Tidwell, Pete Sandoval and wife Nancy, Henry Sandoval and Wife Joyce; the Dominguez family; close friend, Louise Vigil, and numerous relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.

Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz. Burial will follow at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Cemetery in Cordova.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Norris Velasquez, Tony Padilla, Benino Martinez, Michael Trujillo, Bobby and Matias Chacon, Armando Jaramillo, Lukus Archibeque, and Rick Chavez.  Honorary pallbearers are, Jose Martinez, Isaac Romero, Eugene Jaramillo, Troy Montoya, Leroy Jaramillo, Kenny Romero; God-children: Manuel Sandoval, Isaac Saco Padilla, Michael Sandoval, Dwight Jaramillo, Camila DeVargas, Joshua Cordova and all Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Joan D. Quintana of Española
Joan D. Quintana, 80, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 on the eve of her birthday in the arms and prayers of her devoted family. Born June 9, 1936 in Española, New Mexico to Virgil Drace and Mary Sleeth, she lived a happy and meaningful life.

Joan carried the love of many, no more than from her husband Mike F. Quintana who preceded her in death on March 28, 2015. The memory of Joan’s love and life will live on forever in her daughter Luanna Valerio, sons Greg, Eric, and Robert, and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The eldest son Greg has sons Michael, A.J. and Max, Sean and wife Vicki have children Alexis, Adam and Sienna, son Justin and Liz have daughter Kaylee, and son Dante. Louanna, Joan’s second child and only daughter, with husband Patrick, have son Daniel and wife Melissa with children Joshua, Alicia and a soon-to-arrive new great-grandbaby, and sons Anthony and Isaac. Joan’s second son Eric with wife Celina, have sons Eric Jr. and Daven. Joan’s youngest son Robert has children Elisa and Dominic “Rocco”, and Deanna with her children Miranda and Levi. Joan cared deeply for her sister, Virginia Swanson, and her brothers Robert Dutch Drace, Frank Drace and Little Virgil Drace.

Those who knew Joan, as friend, as mom, or as grandma, witnessed a strength not seen in many, with passion and praise for the ones she loved, her tenderness and understanding was beyond reproach. She is the light that will burn forever in the hearts of those whom she loved. You will be missed, but never ever forgotten.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a Memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Ronald G. Perraglio of La Mesilla

Ronald G. Perraglio Sr., 76, a resident of La Mesilla, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 following a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Phillip Perraglio Sr.; brother, Phillip Perraglio Jr.; sisters, Viola Williams and Betty Polan; aunts, Jenny Santistevan and Josie Gallegos; daughter, Davina Perraglio; sister-in-law, Pat Perraglio; uncle, John Cruz and niece, Denise Perraglio.

Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a very hard working man. He was a professional welder with the Iron Workers Union 495 and later drove Paulie’s Ice Cream Truck where he put a smile on many faces. When Ronald wasn’t working he enjoyed going fishing, hunting and camping. He was also quite passionate about trains. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Martha Perraglio of La Mesilla; son, Ron Perraglio and companion Josephine Gonzales of El Llano; daughter, Angel Garcia and husband Rick of Albuquerque; grandsons, Chris Gurule and wife Sandra of Las Vegas, Nevada, Martin Perraglio, Dalas Perraglio and fiancé Theresa Gallegos of Santa Fe, Christopher Perraglio of El Llano and Isaac Garcia of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Nicole Gurule and companion Stephen Sena of Albuquerque, Bobbie Salazar and husband Leon of Alcalde, Kyana Perraglio and companion Anthony Brown of El Llano and Brianna Perraglio of El Llano; brothers, Kenneth Perraglio of La Mesilla and Roger Perraglio and wife Jeres of Rio Rancho; sister-in-law, Tillie Perraglio plus numerous other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will begin on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Michael Quintana, Matthew Quintana, Mark Quintana, Ruben Trujillo, Max Villa, Tracy Perraglio and DJ Perraglio.
