Northern New Mexico College's Student Arts Showcase December 5-6

Española — Northern New Mexico College's Student Arts Showcase runs December 5 – 6 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. in the Nick Salazar Center for the Arts (CFA). The art show features student works in drawing, painting, pottery and photography, weaving, bultos & retablos, tinwork, and Spanish Colonial furniture. 

An Opening Reception with the artists will be held noon – 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 5. Refreshments will be served.

Film & Digital Media Arts students will present their final film projects in the CFA Theatre from 1 – 3 p.m. Dec. 5, with an art sale running from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Twenty percent of proceeds from the sale will help support the Visual Arts Foundation Scholarship.

The event closes with a special presentation by Artist Justin Clifford Rhody on “Art21 Berlin” at 6 p.m. Thursday Dec. 6., followed by a projection sound performance of Vernacular Visions.
