Former Police Detective Charged: Taking City Ammo

Recently resigned City of Española detective, Cpl. Solomon Romero was charged in February by the District Attorney’s office with embezzlement for alleged activities around the improper disposal and personal use of firearms and ammunition. District Attorney Angela “Spence” Pacheco’s office charges Romero with converting ammunition valued at $412 to his own use.

New Mexico Legislature Convenes for the 2015 Session in Santa FeSANTA FE: The New Mexico Senate and House have returned to Santa Fe for the 2015 session. The Roundhouse has witnessd a historic transition this year as a narrow Republican Majority takes over managment of the House for the first time in 60 years. Newly elected Speaker Donn Trip (R. Soccorro) convened the activities on Tuesday at noon. The 2015 legislative session will run non-stop until March 21st when it is constitutionally adjurned "sine-die" at noon on that day.
