The federal government is sending more troops to the U.S. border with Mexico just as Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham pulls back National Guard personnel from the state's southern frontier.
The House Health and Human Services Committee on Friday passed by a vote of 5-2 Rep. Debbie Armstrong’s bill, HB 295, the Health Security Act,a study bill to gather information on the feasibility of creating a New Mexico-run health insurance cooperative.

SANTA FE, NM – Following up on her campaign promise to increase transparency at the State Land Office, Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard worked with Senator Daniel Ivey-Soto (D-15) to introduce SB 458, which will require public notice and input prior to the agency taking final action on any proposed land sales, land exchanges and rights-of-way (ROW) permits for large-scale electrical transmission lines and oil/gas pipelines involving state trust lands.

ALBUQUERQUE – New Mexico State Police were working jointly with the Albuquerque Police Department Friday to locate Adrian Nieto. Investigators were searching for Nieto, who cut off his GPS ankle monitor during a visit to his grandmother's home and failed to return to the Albuquerque Boys Reintegration Center.
