About Moving Arts

Moving Arts Española initiated an arts and fitness education program in 2008 through Española Valley Public Schools. Now in its 10th year of service, the nonprofit organization has served more than 5000 children and youth over the last decade, with offerings during the school day, after school, and over the summer. More than 450 students ages 3-18 participate each week; offerings have grown to include 29 unique classes in the performing and visual arts and fitness education, free farm-to-table meals featuring locally sourced produce, and free academic mentoring. The organization’s mission- “Building Community Through Arts and Culture” - is evidenced by its ability to build long-standing local and regional partnerships across multiple sectors in support of children, youth and families.
