Movie Review: Cinema Cindy Reviews Star Wars The Last Jedi
“Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi”, the latest installment in the 40 year old Star Wars franchise, was released Dec. 15 to an eager audience.
As promised, the story picks up immediately where “Episode VII: The Force Awakens” ended, with our new heroine, Rey, approaching Luke Skywalker on a rocky island.
We wondered with the last movie, what will happen when Rey and Luke meet? Expectations for each new Star Wars film are always high; people get anxious about the fate of their favorite characters, making an audible buzz before the film opens.

“Coco” is Disney Pixar’s latest, very colorful, animated film, full of love for family and the inspiration of music. The 3D version will be well worth your wait so that you see the full visual intent of the film. Marketed to the “PG” crowd, older folks may enjoy Coco for the beauty of the film and the values it holds dear. Parents, though, will want to know that the “thematic elements” to scare a child are animated skeletons.
“Justice League” is the latest DC Comics’ film, uniting Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. The only one missing is Superman. In fact, since the death of Superman (in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice), a door has opened for evil; the world has become more chaotic. Criminals are bolder, good people no longer believe in themselves, working for “law and order” seems a losing battle...

Velarde - How many readers remember the zany antics of Lucille Ball in the popular sitcom, “I Love Lucy,” where in one episode she ends up stomping grapes with professional women “stompers.” It’s hilarious as she tries to keep up with the women who have done it all their lives but she ends up falling into the grapes instead.
