Deputy Police Chief

Plans and oversees operations of the divisions within the Department of Public Safety.  Minimum requirements include High School diploma or equivalent, ten (10) years’ experience as a sworn police officer, four (4) years of which must have been in a supervisory and administrative capacity, current NMLEA Certification in good standing, valid, NM Class D driver’s license, successful completion of thorough background investigation to include pre-employment drug and alcohol screening with subsequent random drug and alcohol screenings.  Department of Public Safety application required.  $59,000 to $63,000 annually.  Visit or call (505) 747-6017 for more information.


Under the direction of the Director of Planning and Land Use, performs professional planning functions and provides development review and project evaluation involving complex physical design, land use planning, and regulation at a professional level.  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in City and Regional Planning, Geography, Urban or Governmental Affairs, Public Administration, Architecture, or related field; AND one (1) year experience in the area of public planning, zoning or similar capacity in the public or private sector.  Visit for more information or call (505) 747-6017.  $21.00 to $23.50 per hour plus excellent benefit package.

Utility Service Worker – Water

$10.00 per hour for uncertified plus benefits. Entry-level position with excellent advancement opportunity.
