Española Pizza 9 Celebrates 2nd Birthday By Giving YOU Food

Nine years ago two friends and their families came together to start a business making something they both loved, pizza.

Rod Etemadi and Hass Aslami opened the very first Pizza 9 restaurant on Gibson and San Mateo in Albuquerque and from there they perfected the sauce, the crust and Chicago style pizza recipes that use only fresh ingredients. Pizza 9 was a success and so the partners branched out, opening new stores and helping others to open franchises.

Today there are 22 Pizza 9 restaurants in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma, with 20 of them being owned by franchisees. Only two stores are still owned by Rod and Hass, including our very own store here in Española.

The Española store, located at 819 N. Riverside will be celebrating its 2-year anniversary this Sunday, Sept. 24, according to store manager Pawell Chimielewski. Over its two years in Española, Pizza 9 has earned a reputation as a restaurant that sponsors fundraising events for good causes or people in need. Recently they helped hurricane victims in Texas (see story HERE ).

To celebrate their 2nd anniversary Pizza 9 is continuing that giving spirit and asked the Valley Daily Post to promote this celebration and offer FREE gift certificates to local readers. (See below for Free gift certificate details).

The Española store, located at 819 N. Riverside will also drop prices for that day only, with several specials. This Sunday at the Española store only, a large 2-topping pizza or any large specialty pizza will cost only $8.99. This pizza is normally $14.99. Everything else on the menu will be discounted 25%.

The Española store has grown since it was first opened and is now used as a training site for new franchisees and workers. In addition, the Española store began a fast delivery service and in early 2017 began serving beer and wine to dine-in customers.
