The Espanola Valley High School boys basketball team took care of business and defeated Moriarty High School 56-45 in a District 2-4A game Feb. 18 at Espanola. The Sundevils defended their home court and set up a showdown Saturday with Taos High School at Espanola with the District 2-4A regular season title on the line.
The win sets up a showdown against Taos High School Saturday at Espanola with the winner claiming the District 2-4A regular season championship. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm at Edward Medina Gymnasium.
The Pojoaque Valley High School Elkettes remain unbeaten in District 2-4A after defeating Los Alamos High School 44-39 Feb. 4 at Los Alamos. The Elkettes are 4-0 in District 2-4A.
“They jumped out to a lead and hit some shots,” Pojoaque Coach Thomas Vigil said. “We weren’t patient enough early. We could never establish any sort of rhythm.”
