Espanola Valley Lady Sundevils win ninth straight to claim the District 2-4A tournament title Saturday night.

It was the ninth win in a row for the Lady Sundevils and their third over the Elkettes.

The Lady Sundevils host the District 2-4A championship tonight against the Pojoaque Elkettes. The Elkettes defeated the Moriarty Pintos Thursday night 72-44. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm at Edward Medina Gymnasium in Espanola

The Sundevils have won the regular season district title and await this week's outcome of district tournament play as they have the #1 seed and will host the championship game on Saturday at Edward Medina Gymnasium at Española Valley High School. Game time to be determined.

While both Española squads seated at #1 await their next opponent, the rest of the district battles it out this week to earn a shot at the District 2-4A tournament championship.
