This past week, Congressman Luján and the New Mexico Delegation called on the Trump administration to improve the guidance for the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program so that small businesses and nonprofits can receive critically-needed federal assistance and support.

“Congress acted on a bipartisan basis to pass the historic, $2 trillion relief package – known as the CARES Act. Now, the Administration must make sure funding gets out the door and into the pockets of those it’s supposed to help: working Americans, small businesses, the healthcare system and frontline providers, those most in need,” Udall said.
“New Mexico is experiencing the public health and economic toll of the COVID-19 pandemic. While Congress has worked in a bipartisan fashion to begin to address this crisis, we must do more to support local and state governments that are incurring significant costs responding to this pandemic,” said Assistant Speaker Luján.
