The effort to cleanup 70+ years of Los Alamos National Laboratories nuclear legacy waste is no small undertaking. Through that process, the Department of Energy (DOE) estimates Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) will be fully remediated by year 2035. With a new Environmental Management contractor soon taking the reins, they will be embarking upon the hopeful beginning of the end of ‘legacy waste’ cleanup at LANL.

Española, the first capital of the Unites States? Really, what reference was used for this information? I ask this question with all due respect to the artist and the powers that be who approved such an enormous and inaccurate display of New Mexico history. The large mural that covers the entire south side of the Española public library is an eye-catching piece of work. The scenic beauty of the river and landscape are quickly pushed aside as one reads ESPAÑOLA FIRST CAPITAL IN THE U.S.A. Upon first glance, I could not believe my eyes. Did I read that correctly?

Heinrich: TrumpCare Puts More Than 6 Million People With Pre-Existing Conditions At Risk

New report finds people with pre-existing conditions could face higher insurance premiums under GOP health care bill

WASHINGTON — The debate on national healthcare policy continues and on Thursday, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) called on Senate Republicans to protect the more than six million people with pre-existing conditions from TrumpCare’s harmful impacts. According to a report released this week by the Kaiser Family Foundation, people with pre-existing conditions could face higher insurance premiums and experience a gap in coverage under the Republican bill that passed the House with President Trump’s support. In New Mexico, this would mean more than 300,000 people with pre-existing conditions could see an increase to their insurance premiums…
