SFCC Announces Information Sessions On PRO-TEC Program At Various Locations

Santa Fe County residents can earn digital badges verifying achievement in training that begins April 22

SANTA FE, NM – Santa Fe Community College in partnership with Santa Fe County and the Northern Area Local Workforce Development Board announces a series of free information sessions on March 26, March 27 and March 30 about the Professional Readiness for Technical Careers (PRO-TEC) program, which begins April 22 at the college.

Report: School Funding In New Mexico Still Lower Than A Decade Ago

New Mexico Ranks Toward Bottom of the Nation in Funding

ALBUQUERQUE, NM— New Mexico is one of several states that have failed to increase their total per-student funding compared to a decade ago, according to a new report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP). While 26 states have made larger investments in their K-12 students since 2008, per-student funding in New Mexico remained 9 percent less in 2016 than in 2008, after adjusting for inflation.

SANTA FE, NM – Santa Fe Community College will present two information sessions on the New Mexico Environmental Job Training Program at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 6 in JCI Building, Room 101 on the Northern New Mexico College campus, 921 N. Paseo de Oñate in Española. The free five-week intensive training will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 20 through June 21, at NNMC in Española.
