Udall To Attend Farm Bill Celebration In Los Luceros, Visit Successful Tech Transfer Facilities In Los Alamos And Address The Santa Fe Rotary Club

On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, U.S. Senator Tom Udall will join U.S. Congressman Ben Ray Luján, representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), New Mexico acequia and land grant leaders, and conservation districts at Los Luceros Historic Ranch to celebrate the 2018 Farm Bill and the signing of a U.S. Forest Service guidance document for working with acequias. Udall secured a provision in the Farm Bill making acequias and land grants eligible for grants and technical assistance from conservation and environmental programs through the USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in the morning, Udall will visit Los Alamos to tour the facilities of Ubiquitous Quantum Dots (UbiQD), a successful tech transfer company at the forefront of LCD innovation. In the afternoon, the senator will tour another successful tech transfer company, Pebble Labs, and the New Mexico Consortium (NMC) Biological Laboratory.

On Thursday morning, September 5, 2019, Udall will address the Santa Fe Rotary Club. He will discuss economic development in northern New Mexico and his legislative priorities through 2020.
