Two Business-Friendly Priorities for Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver Unanimously Pass State Senate
SANTA FE – The following statements can be attributed to Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver regarding the Senate’s passage of Senate Bill 167 (passed 37-0) and Senate Bill 162 (passed 39-0), respectively.
“It’s a boon to businesses when they have as much convenience as possible in filing their documents with my Office. Senate Bill 167 gives more convenience to business owners as it will allow them to file documents electronically through email and through my Office’s online portal. I thank the Senate for passing this bipartisan legislation today and look forward to working with the House to make sure it gets to the Governor’s desk.”
“Senate Bill 162 is another business-friendly bill that cleans up the confusion caused when a business entity is dissolved and that entity was the registered agent of another business entity. This bill prevents the good standing of a business being affected when this situation arises and I thank the Senate for their work to pass it this year.”
