The LAPS Native American Parent Advisory Council (NAPAC) was founded in 2014 by local Native American parents. NAPAC was formally recognized through the support of then LAPS Superintendent, Dr. Eugene Schmidt, and the LAPS School Board. Today, NAPAC is active in Native American policy and activity throughout the school district, and operates in full collaboration with the Superintendent and School Board. NAPAC is organized through by-laws and monthly meetings held by parents serving as officers, the Superintendent, a School Board Member Representative, Student Representatives, and a District Parent Representative.

NAPAC information, events, and meeting agendas can be found on the LAPS website under the “Discover LAPS” tab, click here.

NAPAC appreciates and recognizes the committed support of Dr. Kurt Steinhaus, Superintendent; Jennifer Guy, Asst. Superintendent; Bill Hargraves, School Board Member; Matt Williams, former School Board Member; and the LAPS School Board.
