RTD Chama Midday Service Goes Year-Round  

The Blue busses will continue to go to Chama for their midday run says NCRTD. The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that its RTD 190 Chama midday roundtrip that had been offered as a seasonal service from May 23rd to October 18th will be extended on a trial basis Monday through Friday through the winter and spring effective immediately.

The route serves Chama, Tierra Amarilla, Cebolla, Canjilon, Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu and points along Highway 84/285 into Española.

“The midday service was initially introduced to accommodate the large number of seasonal visitor’s to this area of northern Rio Arriba County, according to Anthony Mortillaro, NCRTD Executive Director, “but support and ridership from the communities serviced along the route has been strong and we are pleased to now be able to provide it on a trial basis through the winter and spring.”

The North Central Regional Transit District provides fare-free and premium fare-based bus service Monday through Friday to a service area that encompasses over 10,000 square miles of north central New Mexico including the counties of Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos; the Cities of Santa Fe and Española and the Towns of Taos and Edgewood; as well as the Pueblos of Pojoaque, Ohkay Owingeh, Nambé, San Ildefonso, Santa Clara and Tesuque. The company’s signature “RTD Blue Buses” provide additional transit connections to New Mexico Rail Runner, Santa Fe Trails, New Mexico Park and Ride, Los Alamos Atomic City Transit and Red River Miner’s Transit.
