Pets Of The Week
Week of June 22-28
ESPAÑOLA — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption. Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Summer time is here and the shelter is quite busy. We are doing a kitten festival in July where we are hoping to adopt 100-200 kittens out! Here are this week’s pets of the week.
Bruce is a lovable boy with a big heart and a big belly! He loves to eat. Bruce is a young adult neutered male, about 7 months of age. He tolerates the company of other cats, but he prefers to be the only cat. He loves the attention of the kennel staff and is very affectionate with them. Bruce’s adoption fee is only $25.
Billy was brought to us as a stray from animal control. He is a very kind dog that wishes to please anyone he meets. Billy has a lot of fun playing with the other dogs here at the shelter, but he really needs a forever home that will be dedicated to his health. Billy has tested positive for heartworm. Billy activity level should be quite during his heartworm treatment, but when he’s completed his treatment he would benefit from a home with a balanced activity level that likes hiking and watching TV. Billy’s adoption fee has been waived, but we encourage donations toward the cost of his heartworm treatment.
