Pets Of The Week
Week of June 8-15
ESPAÑOLA — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption. Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Troy came to us as a stray. He is very social neutered male that loves to play. Troy is about a year and a half and gets along well with other cats and would probably adjust to dogs as well. He would be a great indoor cat but he would be suitable for indoor/outdoor also. Troy has a waived adoption fee and is ready for his forever home today.
Ida is a year and a half Pekinese mix that came in as a stray. She is fluffy and sweet what more could you want in a little dog? A lap-dog loving family that’s not too exuberant would suit Ida best. She doesn’t mind older children, but young and energetic children can intimidate her. Her adoption fee is $85 which includes her spay, micro-chipping and vaccinations to adoption date. We also require that heartworm prevention be purchased at the time of adoption, a six month supply for only $20.
Solve the problem! There is 1 unwanted animals for every 2 households in Española. In 2012 we performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year we will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries. Please help us end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org <http://www.evalleyshelter.
Come on in and meet Troy, Ida and some of the other wonderful pets available for adoption. If you have any questions please feel free to call (505)753-8662.
