Pets Of The Week
Week of June 1-7
ESPAÑOLA — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption. Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Mr. Grey is a large one year old shepherd mix. He was found roaming through traffic and some kind resident brought him to us so he would not be harmed. Mr. Grey is a high energy dog and needs room to play, but he needs a yard with a minimum of a six foot fence. He will be neutered and micro-chipped before he goes home, which is included in his adoption fee. He loves attention and affection but may be too large for families with small children. He likes other dogs, but he does not yet know how to use his manners with them, so we recommend that he go to a home without other pets. Mr. Grey’s adoption fee has been waived this week with the purchase of heartworm prevention for only $20.
Bug was transferred to us from another Humane Society that was out of space. She is a loving adult cat that seeks your affection. Bug is a beautiful two-year old female that has been spayed and micro-chipped. Bug prefers to be the only cat in the household, as she does not interact well with other cats. Bug is very playful and wants to please you. She is ready to find her forever home today, and Bug’s adoption fee has been waived this week.
We would also like to inform you that we offer free spay and neutering for the residence of Rio Arriba County, and you can call to schedule your appointment. You can see both Mr. Grey and Bug as well as all of the adoptable pets on our web site: www.evalleyshelter.org, and if you have any questions or would like to schedule a free spay or neuter appointment for your dog or cat, please don’t hesitate to call us!
