Pets Of The Week
Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.
Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Fur-dinand is such a lover boy. He really enjoys hanging out with humans and does great during play time with other dogs. He came to the shelter as a stray brought in by Animal Control. He is about 1 to 2 years old. He would make a great new family member. Fur-dinand knows his perfect home is out there where his life will be filled with fun, treats, and loving company.
Jean is a beauty! She’s elegant and sweet at 2yrs old. But has a bit of an independent side as well. She enjoys people, but when she’s done, she likes her alone time. Because of this, we would recommend an adult only home for this girl. She did come to the shelter as a stray. She will make a great hunter on her spare time. And will be a great family member on your time. Stop by the shelter and meet her.
There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. In 2012 the Española Valley Humane Society performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year they will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries. Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
