Pets Of The Week
Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.
Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Angel is a sweet, calm girl, at 2yrs old. She’s affectionate and mellow, and is a cat that should easily adjust to any situation. Angel has tested positive for feline leukemia, and is best placed in a home that already has a positive cat, or a home where she will be the only cat. We’re happy to answer any questions about Angel and feline leukemia, and what it all means. Angel is lovely, and most likely has several years of love to give a willing family.
Isn’t Chata beautiful? She’s also pretty sweet and loves to play with other dogs. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone but once another dog comes around she’s excited and ready to try new things. We’d love to place her in a home with a companion dog that can help her build the confidence she lacks. She is about 1 to 2 years old. Despite her size Chata is very nervous around new environments and has a challenge facing obstacles alone, so companionship is a must. If you’re looking for a play-mate for your dog and like the German Shepherd breed please consider this beautiful girl.
There is 1 unwanted animal for every 2 households in Española. In 2012 the Española Valley Human Society performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year they will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries. Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
