Pets Of The Week
Week of May 18-25
ESPAÑOLA — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption. Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
Great news about last week’s pets! Both Aqua-Lanna and Ally were adopted last week! Here are this week’s pets of the week:
Babs is a year and a half female Australian Cattle Dog mix that was surrendered to us by her owners. She loves the company of other dogs and cats too! She is very loving and affectionate with everyone she meets. Unfortunately Babs has tested positive for heartworm disease so she needs a home that is going to be dedicated to her recovery. Someone has sponsored Babs’s heartworm treatment and we have waived her adoption fee, all that is needed is the purchase of heartworm prevention medication during adoption of only $20.
Babs will give her new owners a lifetime of love and devotion!
Sabia was brought to our shelter as a stray. The name Sabia means sweet one, which fits her so well. Even though her coat was matted and it appeared she had experienced a difficult time before coming to us, she was very affectionate. Sabia is a special needs cat because she is blind and she will need to be an indoor only pet. Sabia gets along with other cats and would be a wonderful addition to any family. Her adoption fee is waived and she is ready for her new home today!
Come on in and meet Babs and Sabia and some of the other wonderful pets available for adoption. If you have any questions please feel free to call (505)753-8662.
