Pets Of The Week
Week of Jan. 28 – 27
Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption. Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.
This handsome devil named Hamilton came to us from the McKinley Humane Society in Gallup. He arrived at their shelter looking pretty banged up, but the staff there was able to treat his injuries and get him in good shape. He’s a big guy, gentle and as adorable as can be! At 4yrs old he has lived successfully with other cats here at the shelter.
Sweet and affectionate this Pocket Pittie/Heeler mix can’t wait to find a great home. Tiger Lily came to the shelter as a stray brought in by Animal Control. She is about 1.5yrs old. She’s extremely social and enjoys playing with other dogs. She will be a great family member.
There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. In 2012 the Española Valley Human Society performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year they will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries. Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
