Pets Of The Week

Pets Of The Week
Week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection

Jonah
Jonah is a young adult Pit Bull male that has already been neutered and micro-chipped. Jonah gets along with other dogs very well and is very happy to meet new people and friends. He is easy to handle and would be a great addition to an active family seeking a companion. He is very excitable and we would recommend that he not go to a home with other pets and/or small children without a prior introduction. His vaccinations are current, he tested negative for heartworm, and has been started on his heartworm prevention. Jonah’s adoption fee is waived to the right forever home with the purchase of a six month supply of heartworm prevention for only $20.

Dreeda

Dreeda came to us from another shelter that was overcrowded in their cat area. She is very affectionate and outgoing. She gets along well with other cats, but really enjoys the company of younger cats. She is a big girl, with a big heart and lots of love to give. She would love to cuddle up with you on the couch and watch television. Dreeda is not an animal that would need a active home and will be a great match for any home including elderly and/or with small children. She has been spayed and micro-chipped and is ready to go home with you today. Dreeda’s adoption fee is waived to the right forever home. Please come and meet her today!

Solve the problem!

Come on in and meet Jonah, Dreeda and some of the other wonderful pets available for adoption.

There is 1 unwanted animal for every 2 households in EspaƱola. In 2012 the EspaƱola Valley Human Society performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year they will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
