Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area Releases Notice of Grant Availability

ALCALDE, NM – The Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area (NRGNHA) released their Notice of Grant Availability last week. Grant applications are due to the NRGNHA office, 848 State Road 68, Alcalde, NM 87511, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019.

Communities, tribal, and local governments, land grant associations, non-profit organizations, youth programs, historical and archaeological societies, and preservation groups may submit applications for grant funding that support the NRGNHA’s mission and goals. The mission of the NRGNHA is to help sustain the communities, languages, cultures, traditions, heritage, and environment of Northern New Mexico.

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis; typical maximum grant award is estimated at $3,000 to $5,000 with the minimum grant award of $1,000.
