Northern New Mexico STEM Mentor Collective Celebrates Network Night

Española, NM – The Northern New Mexico STEM Mentor Collective will celebrate Network Night this Thursday, December 8 from 6-7:30pm in the rotunda of the Administration Building on the Española Campus of Northern New Mexico College.
The Northern New Mexico STEM Mentor Collective, funded by NSF INCLUDES (Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science) seeks to raise aspirations and expectations in school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) topics by training and placing (in local schools and libraries) a STEM Mentor Corps comprised of caring, exemplary Northern STEM undergraduates.
Network Night will mix our junior and high school
protegees and their families and teachers, with our Northern undergraduate mentors and their mentors from the Northern faculty and our community partners in youth development.
We will celebrate our work together this past term, and plan for the term ahead, as we enjoy home cooked light-fare amid an array of hands-on STEM explorations of 3D printing, robot jousting, cell biology and computer games.
