For this year, the Fiesta will celebrate the Golden (50th) Anniversary of its revival in 1969.

The following individuals were also elected to serve in the respective roles: Verna Trujillo, executive secretary, Carmela Salazar, parliamentarian, Adriana Martinez, treasurer and Dennis Chavez, documentarian. Inaugural members of the new Fiesta entity’s board of directors are as follows: Glenda Martinez, Manny Martinez, Joel Chacon and Jeremy Maestas.

All interested in the preservation of the tradition of Fiesta are invited to attend the meeting on the 29th of January. New ideas for activities and events are welcomed and encouraged. Committees will be organized at this meeting and roles and responsibilities for each committee will be discussed. Also, the Council is soliciting interest for the positions of Don Juan de Oñate y Salazar and La Reina de Española.
