The North Central Regional Transit District’s RTD Blue Bus will resume regular route and scheduled operation on six routes June 29. The routes had been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The routes include the 255 Mountain Trail, 305 Taos Express, 400 Los Alamos, 280 Eldorado, 260 La Cienega and 310 Red River.
Passengers on 255 Mountain Trail into the Santa Fe National Forest and the weekend 305 Taos Express are advised that reservations will currently be required as seating is limited. Requests must be made at least 24-hours in advance at 866-206-0754, ext 2. The routes will operate fare-free until further notice.
Face coverings will continue to be mandatory in order to board the bus. Also, seating will be limited due to social distancing and the State order restricting groups to five or less.
The NCRTD continues to take aggressive measures to clean and disinfect passenger vehicles daily. Our top priorities are to continue service to the public, and to keep them and our employees healthy and safe. The District asks that anyone experiencing flu symptoms refrain from boarding our vehicles.
The 290 Edgewood and the 170 Jicarilla routes will remain on hold until further notice. Please visit the NCRTD website at RidetheBlueBus.com or call 866-206-0754, ext. 2 for information on specific routes.
The North Central Regional Transit District provides fare-free bus service on 27 of 29 routes to a service area that encompasses over 10,000 square miles of north central New Mexico including the Counties of Taos, Los Alamos, Rio Arriba and Santa Fe; as well as the Pueblos of Pojoaque, Ohkay Owingeh, Nambé, San Ildefonso, Santa Clara and Tesuque.
