Precipitation chances begin to increase this afternoon with scattered to numerous storms expected across western NM. Precipitation will spread eastward into eastern NM through the afternoon and evening, and a few storms across the east may become strong to severe with lightning, large hail, and damaging winds the primary threats.
A few strong to severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds are possible this afternoon and into tonight along and east of the Pecos Valley.
