Lujan and FTC To Educate On Safe Online Practicies Wednesday
Congressman Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico’s Third District will join with a representative from the Federal Trade Commission to hold two events on Wednesday, September 2 to share best practices and tips to be safe online and avoid scams, identity theft, and other forms of fraud. At Luján’s invitation, Dama Brown, the FTC’s Director of the Southwest Region, will be in Northern New Mexico to participate in a school assembly regarding cyber safety and bullying, followed by a forum with senior citizens in the Southern part of the district to discuss identity protection and security, as seniors are the largest targeted group for internet, mail, and phone scams.
