Ladies’ Tea Party Goes Off At The Bond House

ESPAÑOLA — The San Gabiel Historical Society held its first ever “Annual Ladies’ Tea Party” at the Bond House in Española Saturday, April 18. Over 20 local ladies in their finest hats, gloves and jewelry participated.

Participants ate delicious food and drank properly prepared tea. They also heard a presentation on the history of tea and the proper etiquette of drinking tea.

All proceeds from this event went to the San Gabiel Historical Society, a nonprofit organization that administers the Bond House Museum. The Bond House, which is owned by the City of Española was opened as a museum by the San Gabriel Historical Society in 1982.

The society has rotating exhibits on a regular basis and also maintains a permanent display of historical artifacts from the Española area.
