Info Session On Leadership Training Friday
A special leadership training designed to empower and connect local community members is being offered to a limited number of local residents who are interested, beginning in January. Those interested are invited to attend an information session Friday, Nov 18 at 2:30 at the Onate Center in Alcalde, State Road 68, Building 848.
This leadership training, along the lines of “Leadership New Mexico” is being brought to the valley under the sponsorship of the Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area, Rio Arriba County, and other local organizations. The training takes place over a series of four weekends, January thru April and connects participants with resources, community and state leaders while also giving them the skills to grow their influence in the region for the benefit of the community. Spots are limited but applications are being accepted from residents of all types and ages. Similar programs charge participants or their employers thousands of dollars to attend, but this year alone the $2,000 tuition fee is being paid for by a special grant.
