The Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project presents Pláticas Presentations:
Highlights of Petroglyph Recording in 2015
Lecture by Candie Borduin Tuesday, April 26th – 6.30pm
The Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project (MPPP) is pleased to announce a fascinating look at some of the petroglyphs found on Mesa Prieta in 2015. On Tuesday, April 26th at 6:30 pm at Historic Los Luceros, Alcalde, MPPP’s Petroglyph Recording Coordinator, Candie Borduin, will present: Highlights of Petroglyph Recording in 2015.
Candie Borduin presents a rare glimpse at 75 of the most outstanding images recorded on private land on Mesa Prieta and surrounding areas in 2015. These images, documented on private land by our volunteer recording teams are rarely seen by the general public.
At the beginning of each year, 35 of our recording volunteers vote on the “best of the best” petroglyphs of the previous year’s recording. The top selections are featured in a report prepared for the Mesa’s private landowners. The most spectacular, well-made, and unique petroglyphs are featured in these reports.
MPPP estimates that there are over 75,000 petroglyphs on Mesa Prieta – this is your chance to see what our teams have discovered!
Refreshments will be served. A donation of $5 per person is suggested.
