Free Youth STEM August Activities

Robots and Rockets and Owls, Oh My!

The STEM Scholars of Northern New Mexico College are hosting a free event for approaching 1st-6th grade students of Española. 

The activities will take place Monday August 3, 2015 thru Thursday August 6, 2015 from 9-11am at Northern New Mexico College located at 921 Paseó de Oñate Española, NM 87532.

Some of the activities that will take place during the week will include:
Interaction in the Polymer Lab, Programming Robots & Walking Robots, Circuit Kits, Fuel Cell & Solar Bugs, Chemistry & Bubbles, Science behind Rocket Balloons, and Dissection of Owl Pellets.

Students involved in this activity will engage in many forms of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The STEM Scholars of NNMC goal is to empower the students to question and connect with the natural world of science around them.
