Teresa Leger Fernandez’s Campaign for Congress Closes Out Third Quarter With Over $275,000 Cash on Hand and Contributions from All 16 Counties in CD3
Santa Fe, NM — Today Teresa Leger Fernandez’s campaign for Congress announced it raised over $205,000 in the third quarter and has over $275,000 in cash on hand in the race for New Mexico’s 3rd district.
“This campaign is powered by our community and we have deep grassroots support in el norte.” Said Teresa Leger Fernandez. “The majority of our contributions came from New Mexico and our campaign received contributions from tribes and from all 16 counties in the district. The energy and excitement of our campaign also brought in significant support from members of our community who’ve never before been involved in this way. Contributions came in from New Mexican educators, environmentalists, small business owners, indigenous leaders, social justice heroes, and ranchers. We heard over and over again – I am excited about this race in a way I haven’t been before and want to help send Teresa to Congress. Our campaign is centered on serving our New Mexican communities and is free from the influence of corporate interests.”
In addition to this district-wide support, Teresa Leger Fernandez also received endorsements this quarter from NARAL, Taos Pueblo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, BOLD PAC, the political arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and PODER PAC, the nation’s only group focused on increasing Latina representation in Congress. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC endorsement is a powerful message that those fighting for our democracy and values in the House want Teresa’s voice and passion to join them in the battle next year. Following an early endorsement from EMILY’s List, this continued recognition is just another sign of the momentum this campaign sees every day on the ground. Entering the fourth quarter, Teresa Leger Fernandez is well-positioned to continue sharing her message and amplifying the many diverse stories that make up NM-03.
