Espanola Humane Pets Of The Week

ESPAÑOLA, N.M. — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption at the Española Humane. Take a look at this week’s highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Gottfried is named for Gottfried von Strassburg who wrote the medieval romance “Tristan” around 1210 based upon a legend; it inspired Wagner to create the opera “Tristan and Isolde” over 600 years later. Gottfried the kitten, another pet named in celebration of the beloved Santa Fe Opera and the five operas which were to be performed in their cancelled 2020 season, is a handsome, romantic creative – he’s quiet and philosophic, a dreamer composing legendary tails in his mind. This charmer is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he’s ready to live a life worthy of stories to tell! Apply for Gottfried on our website and our team will contact you for an appointment.

Bernice can convey her intense love for every single person she meets through her eyes alone. Add in her giant smile, her tail wag and butt wiggle, and that funny little scritchy spot on her side that makes her hind left leg do a little jig … and you don’t want to miss out on this darling 2yo dog. She’s a giant heart with fur and four paws, and she’s ready to find furever!
