Española Humane Pets Of The Week

ESPAÑOLA, N.M. — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption at the Española Humane. Take a look at this week’s highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Jody is sweet and strong. This 6yo hound was a working dog in her former life, as you can see by the brands on her ears, so she needs an adopter or a foster who can work with her on her manners, keep her busy and active, and have the patience to understand. Jody should be in a home without cats or small dogs, as she has the high prey drive required by this type of working dog. We know it’s a tall order, but we know there’s someone out there who’s just perfect to give her a second chance at a new beginning. Pets are available for adoption by appointment only; please visit our website to submit an online application and our team will connect to schedule a time!

Cookie Monster of Love! If her sugar-y name gives you any indication, Cookie will melt into your arms like a chocolate chip of love. Yes, her blue eyes are crossed, which only adds to her charm exponentially! This snuggly ball of fur is 7lbs at 6 years old, and her adoption fee is waived in lieu of a donation.
