ESPAÑOLA, N.M. — Each week the Valley Daily Post features a few pets that are ready for adoption at the Española Humane. Take a look at this week’s highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Find pet love in the time of COVID, and adopt or foster a new furbaby from Española Humane! Goldilocks is a gorgeous gal with eyes to make your heart flutter! Goldi loves to snuggle and play with all people, but she should go to a home without cats or other dogs – while she enjoys seeing other pets, she would love to practice social distancing with you. Goldilocks will go to her furever home spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with a 6-month supply of heartworm prevention. Complete an online application at www.espanolahumane.org and we can facilitate adoptions by appointment!

Our Herding Cats barn cat program places otherwise unadoptable feral cats into purr-fect farm and ranch homes. These feline ranch-hands work to rid barns and shops of disease-carrying rodents while living their best lives with horses, cattle, sheep, and goats — even peacocks, ducks, and geese! If you are interested in giving ferals a second chance by adopting barn cats, email linda@evalleyshelter.org Barn cat adoption fees are waived in leiu of a donation, and these kitties will go home with you ready to work. Barn cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped!
