This is movie week at the Española Public Library, 313 N Paseo de Oñate, 505-747-6087, with three Elvis movies and showings of Windwalkers and The Best of Enemies. Some events require sign up, but all are free.

Friday Night Movie – The Best of Enemies
5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16
Enjoy a showing of The Best of Enemies. Based on the true story of a reluctant partnership between civil rights activist Ann Atwater and C.P. Ellis, the leader of the Ku Klux Klan, who came together to discuss the issue of racial desegregation of schools in the 1971 Durham, North Carolina, which eventually lead to surprising outcomes for them and the entire community.
