The Pojoaque Valley Elkettes held off a determined Los Alamos Hilltoppers team and remained undefeated in District 2-4A with a 44-39 victory over the Lady Hilltoppers in Los Alamos.
The Hilltoppers led 30-29 at the end of the third quarter.
Led by Michaela Martinez’s 19 points, the Elkettes went 10-of-10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to overtake the Hilltoppers and hold on for the win.
