Del Norte Credit Union Announces DNCU Scholarship Winners
SANTA FE – On Friday, May 1, Del Norte Credit Union, a local financial co-op announced the winners of their DNCU Scholarship program for 2015. The seven winners are graduating seniors from local high schools, and each will receive $1,000 toward the higher education program they will enroll in in the fall of 2015.
“We are deeply committed to supporting young people in New Mexico as they made significant advances toward a brighter future,” said Chuck Valenti, President and CEO of Del Norte Credit Union. “While financial literacy is a core DNCU philosophy, education in all its dimensions is just as important. We wish the winners well.”
“I am honored to be selected for the DNC you scholarship,” said Lauren Armenta of Pojoaque Valley High School. Santa Fe Waldorf Kiefer Nace also expressed her appreciation. “I am honored to be a part of the Del Norte community.
DNCU’s Scholarship Award is a $1,000 award given to members in good standing who are in pursuit of higher education at any college, university or vocational school. Winners are chosen based on their academic record, work experience, statement of goals, and demonstrated leadership in their school and communities. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America.
