COVID-19 message from New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation

Our Response to the Novel COVID – 19 Virus

Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is temporarily changing the way we live and work. Here at NMEAF and NMSLGC, we are taking precautions to ensure our employees, customers, clients, and business partners remain as healthy and safe as possible. We want to do our part for the benefit of the whole community while continuing to provide great customer service.

We have a robust security infrastructure that is managed by a dedicated team of experts who are committed to keeping our operations running smoothly so we can provide you with the best customer service. We will continue to assist you with your accounts, safeguard personal data and provide excellence in service. Our plan includes:

  • Where possible, staff will be able to work at home and still provide the security and service you have come to expect from us.
  • Providing all our employees with information and best practices to prevent the spread of the virus.
  • Providing space in seating arrangements within the building as recommended by the CDC.
  • Limiting meeting sizes.
  • Limiting all business travel.

We feel during these unprecedented times we need to be at our best to continue to provide a high-standard of service. We will continue to be available to our customers during our regular business hours Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please reach out to us if you want to discuss issues related to your account. As we try to reduce face-to-face contact during this time we are encouraging our borrowers to make on-line payments instead of coming into our office.

First and foremost, we care about your health. We will continue to do our part to minimize the spread of this virus. NMEAF and NMSLGC will closely monitor the situation and will update our approach based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and federal, state and local governments.

We have identified the following information for the Centers for Disease Control’s website that we find helpful and wanted to share:
